ruckus Digital – Hiring a FT Graphic Design Coordinator

ruckus Digital is an independent digital and creative agency within its sister company, APEX Public Relations. Our growing creative teams are the creative minds behind some of the most interesting work out there. Whether we’re teaming up with DoorDash to highlight Black Food Energy, bring Walmart’s UGC initiatives to life, winning awards for our strategic focus for Women in Sport or developing over the top packaging for clients and influencers, the work we create is designed to capture attention and get people talking.

We are looking for a Graphic Design Coordinator to join our small and scrappy team. This role will report into our Lead Graphic Designer and will have the opportunity to work across a large number of brands and within the Digital and PR spectrum.

Responsibilities:

Experience:

  • 1 year of design experience
  • Lives the language of graphic design, the internet and social – can execute everything from an organic TikTok campaign to a stunt that plays out on Reddit (and you know what Reddit is!)
  • Demonstrated successful working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, Canva and Capcut
  • Video editing experience is an asset but not a requirement
  • Have proven written and/or design examples of past creative ideations or project based creative thinking.
  • Have a strong ability to explain creative ideas and rationality behind the direction of your work.
  • Good writing skills with solid grammar, editing and proof-reading skills
  • Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with a team cohesively, is proactive and is curious and will ask questions

COMPENSATION

ruckus Digital/APEX PR is committed to offering competitive pay for the role and experience that the candidate brings. The salary range for this full-time role is $45,000 – $50,000 depending on experience. There may be at times a need to be available outside of office hours or on weekends.

This is also an opportunity to work with the best PR and digital teams in the business. We offer learning, development and mentorship so that our team can grow, and we can promote from within where possible.

ruckus Digital/APEX PR has a hybrid work model, employees are expected to be in our office at 160 Bloor ST East, Toronto, 4 days a week. We feel that this model promotes creativity, collaboration and professional development while still giving employees the flexibility of remote work.
